Trust
In my five years in the job market, I have been told Thrice. 'You are a very smart person, this position is not for you'
Knowing my background, all I wanted was just some sense of security and assurance that someone will bet on me. I needed a quick hire to believe that my prayers work. I can get a job and be numbered among the lucky few.
Overtime, I have turned down a number of opportunities on the basis of 'No that's not for me'.
Where does this confidence come from?
I have realized that I can be trusted with responsibilities that require my specific skills set. People are looking for people like me because not everyone can be trusted to deliver the outcomes without being nervous.
Trust kicks off fear. Having lived in the ghettos for my entire lifetime. This is true, There are things I CANNOT do because we can't trade TRUST with the market players.
Leave alone drug peddling and prostitution to put food on the table.
How cheap is your trust?
Ooh yes, very true.. A path that millions of people have walked, some walking in them Still.
ReplyDeleteHow cheap is my trust... Mmmhh. Let me feed on this for a while.
An eye opener. Thank you
