Good VS Real people

'There is always a great danger in taking people literally. '  I loved this sentiment by the ad man, Rory Sutherland.

Rory goes further to assert, 'there is always a good reason and the Real reason for any action.'

My dilemma is really choosing between the two in responding.

Whichever route I take, I know I cannot determine how well I am doing by how people choose to respond.

Because we all have good reasons and real reasons, it's hard to tell whether the butterfly in the folded hand is dead or alive.

Why should anyone be taken seriously?
